Project Twelve

Everyday

Exploring creativity in photography can be an interesting journey.

One area that I have enjoyed through my project work in recent years has been the use of props to draw out a theme or to provide some point of visual interaction.

The idea for this project came through a chance interaction with a model called AJ. She shared some mood boards which she had created using normal everyday items in transformative ways to create art. This is nothing new in the history of art, as similar props have been used in dramatic ways to create eye catching or absurdist imagery in former art movements and styles.

In this project I want to take everyday items and play around with them to ask different questions; sometimes with social commentary; sometimes just for the love of art.
